Our Mission:

Savage Arts Council is committed to organizing and promoting artistic projects and events within the City of  Savage and surrounding communities, and to providing regional leadership in the arts.

Our mission is more than just a "statement" to us.  The Savage Arts Council was founded in 2006 by a dedicated group of Savage Citizens and with start up funding by the City of Savage.  The purpose was to help fill the need in the community to build arts appreciation and fund arts project that were only a vision.  Since its creation the Council has launched, funded or managed multiple new events and continues to be influentional in promoting the arts in Minnesota.  Some of our projects include:

• Savage Juried Art Show and Competition
• Scott County Art Crawl
• Minnesota River Arts Fair Launching
• Arts for All Grant
• Music in the Park Grants
• Jr Juried Art Show and Competition
• Mother's Day Art Sale
• Through the Eyes of a Soldier Exhibition
• Faces of Savage
• Cool Globes

The development of these events and the creation of new ones is dependent on the help of volunteers, donors, members and sponsors.
