Residents of Savage and surrounding communities will see award winning artwork from Minnesota artists when they visit local businesses during the month of May. More than 100 pieces of artwork were submitted into the seventh annual Savage Juried Art Show and Competition. And final round artwork will be exhibited in six locations throughout Savage. MORE

Our seventh annual Juried Art Competition & Show is now a spring event!

The Savage Arts Council presents the seventh Annual Savage Juried Art Competition & Show, and invites all professional and amateur artists in Minnesota to apply to compete and exhibit up to two of their own original works.  The Savage Juried Art Competition and Show is a celebration of visual arts created in Minnesota.  The Show will be open to the public May 1 to May 29, 2013.  Artists from across the state come together to showcase the wide variety and depth of art created throughout Minnesota.  $1,225 in prizes will be awarded.  Please join us in celebrating the original art of Minnesota.

2013 Schedule of Events:

• Online Applications Accepted:  January 1 - April 12  2013

• Artists Notified of Acceptance: April 19  2013

• Drop off of All Accepted Entries: April 26 9am - 7pm

  Note: new drop off location at Savage's McColl Pond Environmental Learning Center, 13550 Dakota Ave South, Savage MN 55378 (located in Savage Community Park, on the west end of the parking area)

• Awards and Reception: 2:00pm April 28 at McColl Pond Environmental Learning Center (note: this new location is the same as artwork drop off and pick-up)

• Show Opens to the Public at locations throughout Savage from May 1 - 29

• Artwork Pick Up: May 30 - 31 at McColl Pond Environmental Learning Center

All accepted artwork will be on display at one of our participating community business locations, Savage Public Library and Savage City Hall.  A map to these locations will be available at time of drop off.
